How can you solo bwl

The next time I got it easily. So Ferals are a good choice for an annoying freaking boss to solo. Comment by draenen I posted this somewhere else earlier today, but to reiterate here: the trick to soloing Razorgore as a mage is to glyph evocation to regen health and to use Rune of Power, but it's also important to NOT use Ice Barrier - the adds need to do damage to you so that the rune can heal it up so that you generate healing aggro on the adds.

If Ice Barrier is active, you aren't taking damage, so your rune isn't healing you, so you're not generating any healing aggro, so the adds stick to Razorgore. I went from Razorgore dying with eggs left to him destroying all the eggs with half his health left by doing it this way.

Hope this helps. Comment by Also note that Razorgore counts as a controllable pet, and WoW will only ever let you have one controllable pet out at a time. Its already been said, but dismiss your hunter pet and your warlock demon to be able to use the orb. However, uncontrolled pets may still exist while you control the boss. Uncontrolled pets are those that you cannot issue orders to. They will continue clearing adds for you while you return to breaking eggs. Comment by xtinakat As an Ele shaman and after many attempts the only way I managed to pull this off is to work from the orb side of the room and making sure I have Razorgore as far away from me at the end of the MC channel as possible.

In the few seconds I had before he made it back over to the orb I pop magma totem to make sure Im doing damage to the adds, toss a quick healing surge on myself and put Healing Rain in the middle of the floor. As soon as Razorgore was MCd again Id put him in healing rain for a few seconds because my biggest issue across the board was him dying and the little bit of healing to him made a huge difference.

Wiped so many times but realised that killing the adds wasn't the most important thing. I found Gorefiend's Grasp was the best thing to use in this fight. It has a one minute cooldown but you can destroy the eggs and keep the aggro off of Razorgore just long enough. First I destroyed as many eggs as I could before the adds started spawning then removed MC once Razorgore gained aggro, then used Gorefiend's Grasp on him which pulled his adds towards me.

I aoe'd as many as I could while far away from Razorgore then MC'd him again. Don't worry about killing the adds, just make sure you pull them away from him whenever you release MC and have the spell off cooldown and keep yourself alive. I think you're not allowed to have the improved elementals talent, because they will despawn then when you MC the boss I'm not sure about this.

This way you'll barely have to keep an eye on the adds, as your pets will just kill and agro them all. I'd suggest doing this after you lose control the first time or if there are too many nuking razorgore. Comment by toppjubei Very easy as prot warrior. Get straight onto killing eggs press 4 and keep Razorgore away from your channeling toon. Kill eggs as fast as possible. Once channeling ends pop CDs to kill all the adds on you, then as Razorgore gets to you on his own throw down mocking banner to get adds back on you and off boss and continue killing eggs.

Once all eggs are gone you can kill everything, including boss. Comment by both For those trying to solo this in 5. No AoE required. Comment by vampirechickk Anyone else having trouble with the first boss in blackwing lair? I kill the mobs to the left and click the orb and it won't control the boss! Comment by essmene Bulding threat by healing does help a lot in this fight. I focus targeted him and used Power Word: Shield.

At any given time there can be 40 adds in the room. Was like that in vanilla and is the same now. Adds spawning tend to aggro you when Razorgore is near you. The farthest away he is eg. When the Mind Control breaks Razor will cast some of his abilities on the adds and he will pull some from you for sure. He is aggressive towards both you and the adds. Don't let him too long out of MC.

You cannot have a pet eg. There might be some delay and some difficulty because of the adds around you but if it finally worked and you press it again you will get the 8 secs debuff making you unable to control Razor for the duration. Click once, wait to see if it worked and if not try again. I started destroying the eggs near the controller and continue destroying the ones near me. This caused all mobs spawning attack me and not Razorgore. Just before the MC broke for the first time I tried to have Razor away so to give me some time to cast some healing on me did the fight as elemental shaman.

You can use also a pot. I recast MC and continue to break eggs. By now most adds should be on you and only a few on him. Most of the adds should have spawn by now. The rest will not do so much dmg on him. One hard thing is to keep an eye on yourself and time when you break the MC to heal yourself if you need to. Comment by togahsisoka I found that as I got better at efficiently destroying eggs getting the most out of each MC , the harder it got.

Of course the gut reaction is to try to clear eggs even faster I finally realized that destroying eggs generates aggro duh , so naturally destroying them too fast gets too much aggro on Razorgore and he'll get worn down faster.

Don't be afraid to dismiss him early, clear some adds, get some more aggro on you and then send him back to work. Comment by Glaucus A tip if you are soloing this as a rogue and are about to fail on the eggs, when he dies you get thrown out of the mind control, use Cloak of shadows right away, and you will not die.

Comment by Vorh Just did this as a lv88 destro loc with a saced daemon and found something interesting. The passive healing from the sac was drawing all the adds agro away from raz, I was just running around in raz until my loc got low on health, got out poped a health stone and aoed down some the mobs.

I usually did this when the mc released naturally. Comment by The fight is ninja buffed or bugged. I have soloed him really easily every week since 5. Now i tried to kill him many many times with same gear and same spec as usual.

Second Wind did generate almost zero aggro when there was loads of adds. Any class with a healing ability should just keep healing themselves while letting all of the adds beat on you.

The room can only hold 40 adds, and they aggro very quickly on anyone healing themselves. Once 40 are out, there are none left to beat on Razorgore if they are all beating on you via the healing aggro. It might actually help to start this fight about half health so that you can have more room to get healing aggro. Comment by 5. The threat Razergore gets from mobs entering the room is close to non existent, the mobs have only a sight aggro to him, You healing yourself should be enough of a taunt to the room to pull mobs that razorgore has not auto attacked back to switch to you, the mobs that wont turn onto you can be easily singled out and picked off, Cleared as bear tank using this method, gl.

Comment by Irollpally As some have stated above in 5. If you are a tank there a better method of doing this fight and is much simpler. First you kill the adds that are controlling the orb then quickly get the orb of command and destroy as many eggs asap. Phase 2 is easy, by this time i had around kk health on my pally. I tend to make crappy forum posts. Comment by Wahrsager He is Soloable, being a tank druid you can start the channel and kill up your eggs.

Once the mind control starts to drop get him close and target him to use a Rejuv. It breaks mc and puts a hot on razorgore, hit the orb and watch the mobs swarm you while you finish up the eggs. Gotta keep up the HoTs though, plus side is razorgore stays at max health. Comment by Nylers 5. Make sure you have Second Wind. I tried soloing it without that talent and failed several times. Every so often dismiss Razergore and kill any adds that are attacking him.

Be careful not to kill any adds that you have aggro'd. The reason for this is only 40 adds can spawn and if they are all attacking you, then Razergore will not be attacked. Once the eggs are cleared the adds run away and you can then kill Razergore easily. First off, once I had him MCed, I started destroying the eggs closest to the orb working toward the opposite wall.

The first few times I tried it, I pulled out my pet in between MCs to use death pact to heal myself and didn't realize until a few tries later that my summoned pet was the reason I couldn't MC the boss again. Comment by pellmell Easily the fastest way to drop control of Razorgore, rather than hitting the exit vehicle button or right-clicking and dismissing, is to simply hit Escape.

Comment by gbergalli after several attempts i was able to solo this one with my balance druid. Comment by What I've found works really well is to kill the controller and channel as everyone else has stated, and then start off by killing the eggs closest to the channelling orb first, and work your way back.

By the time the channeling timer is up, Razorore should be far away from you and you will have a few seconds to AoE the mobs attacking you. Then it's very important to start channelling again before Raz gets to the platform. What I've noticed is that he doesn't take all that much damage from the mobs attacking him; what gets his HP down is when he's on the platform with you, he takes a ton of AoE damage.

Comment by What I have discovered to work best is to immediately aoe the three mobs that are on the platform with the orb. Drop off the front of the platform and stand close enough to it that you can still interact with the orb. After that control Razorgore and work your way back to the side you're on. Start clearing the eggs on the other platform and just snake your way back, completely ignore the adds on Razorgore.

When the MC falls off aoe the mobs on you then pick up the MC again and finish it up. Comment by I've been trying to solo him and I get to 2 or 3 eggs left and he dies. I offered to run a lowbie through in trade and give them all the loot but the pet drops. Worked out pretty well.

This will also give you healing aggro. Comment by lolablerants I'm not sure if this is a fluke or just how he works now, but i solo'd this as a 90 warlock with ease. Comment by Bighappykitty For those lucky enough to farm up the Terracotta Fragment , it is a huge help here. Pop the trinket before you kill the three mobs on the pedestal with the control orb, and he will aggro any of the adds that come after you. I've also noticed he'll get bored from time to time and run out to aggro the mobs that go after Razorgore.

As for Razorgore himself, pick up control as soon as you can and try to clear one side of the room before you have to release him. Then just clear out the other side and drop him. Comment by Tips for a Monk to solo at level Zen Pulse Start the fight and go the full portion killing eggs. After the first timer wears down, Spinning Crane Kick to kill the mobs around you. I attempted a few times to kill other mobs nearby, but either you accidentally hit Razorgore or he stuns you.

Once the mobs around you are down: Zen Pulse. And regain control on Razorgore. A few will still hit Razorgore, but not too many as most will attack you.

After seconds Spinning Crane Kick to get the mobs off you again and then Zen Pulse one more time and then let Razorgore get the last few eggs. You should be able to get it down within the 3rd control cast. As a general rule for other classes, you need something to draw constant agro like hunter traps to easily solo this.

Comment by numbersoul I was having issues doing this as an enhancement shaman since I wasn't able to generate enough AoE damage to peel the adds of Razorgore and he always died. I ended up using this strategy: 1. Run in and kill the controller and click the orb 2. Start destroying eggs on the far side of the room 3. When the channeling is about to run out move Razorgore onto the platform that you're on 4. Drop an earth elemental. You can't be specced into Primal Elementalist because the Primal Earth Elemental will take up the pet slot 5.

Click the orb again and destroy the eggs on the orb platform then destroy the rest of the eggs in the room I was able to do the fight pretty easily with this method without worrying about Razorgore's health through the rest of the fight and without having to drop control of Razorgore to peel the adds off. Comment by Aerozia Hunter solo guide: take Exhilaration talent.

Comment by Keepertje8 If you fail soloing this as a mage, you can Iceblock immediately after Razorgore dies, rendering you immune for the blast, and you can try again. The closer Razorgore is to you, the easier it is to take aggro of him. You will want to take more aggro later on in the fight, as there will be more adds.

In the beginning, there are no adds make sure to use all your dps buffs on the 3 guys around the Orb at the beginning of the fight, as that will allow you to break one or two more eggs without any adds bothering you. Use AOE to kill all the mobs around you before you re-use the Orb. Key is to start at the opposite end of the room.

Comment by Soloed as a hunter on the third try. Few points: you need only two mind control sessions to destroy all the eggs if you're quick. Start near the orb so that the adds agro yourself. After the eggs are destroyed you can use self-heal, but that's not strictly necessary. For me it broke MC, caused him to despawn and all the doors were locked, couldn't use the MC orb, had to let the endless adds kill me.

When I tried to go back in to give it another go the gate was down. Waited about 20 mins to see if the gate would raise to let me back into the egg room, nothing.

Comment by TheZoog Trying to solo him? Here are the two keys: learning how to break MC and learning how to re-MC him even though you have mobs attacking you. There is no button you can click on to break MC.

You'll notice however, that you have an action bar for Razorgore when he is MC'd. And you also have your own action bar. You can click on him or yourself your icons rather and cast a spell and this is what breaks the MC. Don't have pets out or you can't re-MC. You might want to put him on focus to make it easier to click on him. Towards the middle-bottom of your screen you will see the "channel" bar, which is really slow, but you MUST pay attention to it because this dictates your moves.

Each one of you will have to develop your own method to the madness but the basic strat is this: 1 There are 30 eggs in total I think. You need to kill up to 8 eggs on the first MC, starting with all of those on and near your platform first and moving him towards the far platform. Put every dragon attacking Razorgore to sleep, without exception, because they do the most damage. Pop your CD's and nuke them quick. Only one or two of your attacks will take HUGE gobs of his health down, so when Razorgore gets close, even if you are still being attacked, clicky on the orb again.

You might experience some pushback but you can do eet. You MUST do eet or you will fail, so keep trying. Consider popping a heal-potion first, or save it for later when your health starts to get really low.

You can heal him up, which will break the MC, but he must be within range. I had to bring him back once and loh, nuke a few adds, then re-MC, and burn more eggs. Once I figured out the basic rules of how to break MC and re-MC even though I was being interrupted periodically, the fight became fairly easy, although tense.

With the final egg gone, the adds cleared out by themselves and it was me on him. He likes to cc you, so make sure your health is up before concentrating on him or you might let it slip through your fingers at the very end.

Good luck and have fun! Comment by Woundwort Having perfected foolproof methods of soloing this boss on 2 classes so far I've decided to share my experiences after many experiments : First of all, forget about all the comments that suggest killing the channeler first, there's no point in my experience as it saves valuable seconds for egg killing by leaving him, for now.

First method is with my main character Boomkin. Next I take the orb from the main floor and get on with the egg killing. I concentrate on clearing the eggs from furthest end and by time I'm almost half way through the possession drops off. Just as the first possession ends, I detonate the mushrooms killing all the mobs around me. I take over the orb soon after and carry on with the eggs.

There's no definite way to clear eggs at this point as any logical process will work with more than enough time left. Second method is with my warlock. As demo spec I always have Dark Apotheosis on as it seems to attract more mobs away from Razorgore when possessed. I start the fight in the same way by taking over the orb without touching the summoner. I work through the eggs in the same manner but just as the first possession finishes, I drop my Abyssal right on top of the position where I'm summoning from.

I take over the orb again and carry on with eggs. In the meantime my Abyssal is causing mayhem killing all the mobs around me and making the whole process trivial. One final note for second boss as lock, make sure you remember to SS yourself before the fight to avoid the corpsewalk back from Thorium point :. When I've had time to experiment with other classes I'll update my post. In the meantime, good luck with drop rate :.

Comment by natassja72 I'm unable to solo him any longer after 5. As if he got some new aggro aura on himself. He dies so fast before I can nuke the mobs one by one since I can't obviously use any AoE.

Perhaps a tanking class with AoE taunt can still do it. I've given up after 5 tries today. Just to add, before 5. Comment by Silverfalkin Tip for warriors soloing this boss: Mocking Banner, when placed, continues to work while you're MCing the boss, leading to an extra second window relatively add-free.

This provides a huge help when managing adds. Edit: I was able to solo without too much difficulty as a 90 arms warrior. Switch to prot spec and put on tank gear. Have Second Wind talent speced and be in defensive stance. Most important: the agro from Second Wind healing is enough to keep the majority of the adds off the boss. If they pile up on him during mind control move him near your character for a bit and most will switch to you.

When you're about to lose mind control move him to the far side of the room. This gives you the chance to AOE adds without hitting him. Soon as he is in range of your AOEs use mind control orb again. Don't hesitate to right click on his name plate the one below yours during mind control and dismiss him before the time is up; I did it a couple times to peel off adds and AOE. I'll be running it again at next opportunity to confirm I wasn't just lucky. Edit: Just did it again, messed up first time, second time went smoothly.

Comment by Magicdealer Figured this out tonight on my 90 paladin. First tries were irritating as the mobs just killed Razorgore before the eggs were all destroyed. The winning strategy was to use the Light's Hammer talent on cooldown. The area heals kept me alive, killed the enemies, and pulled aggro from everything so that Razorgore could work relatively unscathed.

Just remember to run him to the opposite side of the room before you release to drop the hammer. Comment by zantrec Completed on a Shadowpriest and a Resto Druid in 5.

Trick for me was to keep killing the adds attacking Razorgore, breaking MC often when too many adds were making his health get low. There is a VERY small margin for error post As others have pointed out, I also think that the aggro mechanics have changed since 5.

Perseverance is key! Took me 3 attempts on the druid and about on the priest! Comment by sk4p If anyone can figure out how to do this as a lock post the 5. Comment by Lordplatypus The loving parent he is, Razorgore turned his eggs into bombs. Comment by Tekunin Killed him quite easily as of 5. Similar to the suggest way of doing it as a Mage above, I took off a few pieces of gear so that I'd take more damage, then talented Grimoir of Sacrifice so that I was regenerating health every five seconds.

I also find that destroying eggs from the ramp with the control orb then moving to the other side of the room causes less mobs to aggro onto Razorgore, perhaps because of the fight mechanics. Any time that his channel was about to break, however, I ran him to the ramp he starts on so I'd have time to cast Rain of Fire in a couple places before he could get to the Orb and stun or conflag me and the mobs, drawing aggro onto himself.

Comment by Morbius Soloed this with my 85 blood DK. After several attempts I finally got the strategy down. I killed 2 of the 3 starting mobs and let my DOTS finish off the 3rd so I could mind control Razorgore before he got to me.

Otherwise he will fireblast you and stun you and you won't be able to do anything for like 10 seconds. I destroyed the 2 eggs on the platform I was on and then moved towards the other platform destroying eggs along the way. When mind control wears off kill the mobs attacking you and heal up with death strike then reapply mind control.

You have to be quick or Razorgore will get too close to you and take a lot of AE damage. It was close and I could probably fine tune the route to destroy the eggs. The channeling only broke once so a more efficient route is one way to reduce the damage he takes. I wish I could generate more healing aggro. That would really help.

Comment by klavier Interestingly I got the achievement "city defender" when I wiped on razorgore. Comment by Grab Crate of Kidnapped Puppies and Terracotta Fragment Those 2 trinkets make this boss a complete cake walk The puppies and the terracotta warrior really keeps the adds at bay.

To start the fight, popped Crate of Kidnapped Puppies and immediately charged the 3 NPCs guarding the orb and killed all 3. Destroyed as many eggs as I could. Once MC fell off, I used Dragon Roar to quickly kill most of them on my body and then clicked the orb again.

Adds were starting to pile up a bit so this time, when MC fell of I ran to the middle of the room and used Battle Horn. This pulled almost all of them and I quickly ran back and clicked on the orb. Destroyed the rest of the eggs and killed Razorgore the Untamed. Comment by Punchin Solo'd as an elemental shaman. Then ran the boss into the healing.

All the mobs broke off the boss and went to me so I could clean out the rest of the eggs without the boss dying. But no pet.. Comment by Vikmourne Just solo'd it on my second attempt as a Monk. Switched to Brewmaster spec and dropped a Black Ox statue in the middle of the room. It seemed to taunt off various adds that were attacking the boss onto me. It was out of LOS when the boss was on his starting platform so I destroyed those eggs second after the eggs on my platform.

Whenever I needed to taunt more adds off of him, I dropped him next to my statue and then taunted the statue which taunts all enemies within 8 yards. Comment by silthania At this point, any class can solo him as follows: 1. Activate the orb 2. Destroy half of the eggs. Activate the orb again. Destroy the remainder of the eggs. Quickly interact with the orb just click it once! Razorgore does not have to be on top of the egg that is targeted for destruction, but he does need to be facing it and within a few yards of it.

The mind control channel will not break if the controller takes damage. Begin clearing eggs near his starting position on the platform and then work across the room to the controller platform. Destroy egg has a 3. Use the cooldown time to move to the next egg.

While the destroy egg cast is in progress, look for the next egg to destroy, then move to it the instant the cast completes. The Dominate Mind channel has a 90 second duration, so with optimal play, 20 eggs can be destroyed in one channel. With at least 4 seconds left in the first channel, cast Fireball Volley to aggro all the adds. When the channel breaks, they will turn to the player and get off Razorgore.

Don't even bother cleaning them up, but quickly resume the mind control. Another Fireball Volley may be necessary around the second mark of the second channel. Quickly cast escape after the volley goes off, then resume the mind control channel again. Work quickly, as there is a roughly second pause before adds start streaming in.

Plan a route so Razor is not near the orb of domination when the channel wears off. Use the forced break in the control channel to quickly mop up the adds whaling on the controlling character, then interact with the orb again to regain control of Razorgore.

Don't mess with the adds close to Razor, as splash damage from the character's attacks probably will do more damage to him than the trash mobs. As soon as the last egg is destroyed, all of the trash will turn and flee. Razorgore hits for a trivial amount of damage against a character attempting to solo him, but the 8-second disorient and 5-second stun will still be an annoyance.

Summary: An alternative strategy to soloing Razorgore is to park him behind the player, wait until the number of adds in the room has reached their cap and are focused on the controlling player, and then destroy the eggs without any distractions. IMPORTANT: Before attempting this, dismiss any active pets and be sure you have no abilities or spells active that could potentially cause damage to attackers such as the shaman's [ Lightning Shield ].

Kill Grethok and his adds and let Razorgore cross most the room before using the orb. You will have some time to destroy a few eggs, so deal with the ones directly in front of the orb platform and the couple on the orb platform itself.

Once done with that, stay on the orb platform and move Razorgore to the back of it. The adds will begin spawning from the side entrances of the room and head towards your platform.

The key to this strategy is that by moving Razorgore to that spot, the adds will immediately focus on the controlling player due to proximity aggro rather than attempting to kill the boss. Occasionally an add will either attack or at least appear to focus on Razorgore — don't panic.

It can take a second or two for the add to re-focus on the controlling player as intended , so don't make any moves.

On the very rare exception that an add doesn't re-focus, you can use Calm Dragonkin if it's Death Talon Dragonspawn or carefully single-target melee the orc to death. This will cause a new add to spawn, but better that than risking a wipe later on. The mind-control channeling will expire while the adds are busy capping out, so quickly and carefully click the orb again to regain control of Razorgore.

It helps ahead of time to pick a "good" spot by the orb for when you're encircled by the adds, as well as turning off nameplates. Following these tips should make it easier to view the orb and — most importantly — interact with it. After immediately moving Razorgore back to his parking spot, keep an eye the side entrances.

If you think no more adds are coming out, wait several seconds to be certain of it. You can then freely move Razorgore about the room, destroying the eggs in whichever pattern you prefer. Most prefer to start at the opposite platform, however, in order to give themselves more time to regain control over the boss.

When the channeling runs out, you can quickly move your character away from the orb to force the melee adds to re-position themselves if you're finding it too cluttered to easily interact again with the orb.

I have a level 70 druid alt and I want to get the tier 2 set transmog set. It was faceroll easy for my level 80 I really should do something with him baby Paladin, so I imagine something in the mids would be do-able for most classes. A Druid could go Bear, ofc, which makes it much more practical. Let me know if you want my Druid so I can funnel loot to you to do a quick runthrough with you.

On the PTR, soloing old raids is much more difficult at the moment. Is Razorgore immune to fire? How many eggs are in Razorgore? Why did Razorgore explode? Can you kill Razorgore without breaking eggs? Is there a vendor in Blackrock Mountain?
