Who is dolphus raymond and what makes him unique

Boo was assumed to be a terrible person but later on, he proves himself as a nice citizen. Boo, as he never comes out from his house and has no interaction with other neighbors; so everyone spread frighten rumors about him. Radley Boo always stays at his home, which is the reason that no one from the neighborhood ever seen him. Moreover, after hearing…. On the other hand, Boo was not killed in the novel, and yet he was persecuted by the town, so much so, that he was in essence, banished into his own home.

Scout tells readers at the beginning of the novel. There was no evidence showing that Boo deserved to be locked up in his house, nonetheless, that was how life was for Boo. Through the symbol of a mockingbird, Harper Lee was able to demonstrate her theme of innocence and how people, for one reason or another, just can't help themselves when they take "shots" at innocent…. He is accused of doing many wrongful actions, all of which are rumors and things towns people made up.

One rumor that was started about Boo was that he stabbed his father in the leg with a pair of scissors, but this was completely false. The town of Maycomb thinks Boo is a monster, when he is actually a nice man that does the right thing. He ends up drinking the whole…. In To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, there were many instances of discrimination, court trials and lots of judgement.

A character that rarely ever made himself known got most of the judgement. He was a recluse everyone said and they feared him. No one in the town knew him well enough, but still told their children to be careful and to not go near his property. Boo never leaves his home, and is, arguably, the most important symbol in the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird.

He symbolizes those that are unjustly judged and hated. Throughout the story even Scout, although curious, misjudged and feared him. She did this out of desperation and loneliness on account of her poverty and horrible upbringing.

Race has nothing to do with it. The courtroom is the great leveler. He ends with this plea. Atticus appeals to the integrity of the United States court system where each man is treated equally. This is an example of ethos for the reason that in ethos, you struggle to show up yourself as plausible in order to influence the audience. The idea of ethos as a means of persuasion was conceived by the Greek philosopher Aristotle in his work Rhetoric sometimes called On Rhetoric.

He's always drinking from a paper bag; he sits with the African-Americans; and Jem tells Scout and Dill that he's had several children with an African-American woman—even though he's from an old, rich family. On the other hand, maybe being from an old, rich family allows him to live how he likes without worrying about what other people think.

Later, Scout and Dill find out that Mr. Raymond does care about what other people think, but not in the way they expected. His paper bag turns out to be hiding not whisky but Coke, and his constant drunkenness is a put-on.
